How can we empower young adults to take control of their financial future and build wealth?
De Toekomstwinkel is an initiative in Amsterdam Zuidoost where young professionals and entrepreneurs come together to learn about money, investing, entrepreneurship, and financial growth. Every week, we offer sessions, talks, and workshops centered on themes such as real estate, entrepreneurship, and investing.
Young adults learn from experts, peers, and people with lived experience. Sometimes we invite corporate professionals, and other times entrepreneurs or experts by experience who are eager to share their knowledge in a kitchen-table setting. Together, we are building a future-proof generation that has a firm grip on their financial decisions.
We are creating an ecosystem around financial education, powered by relevant partnerships, a strong community, and action-oriented programming.
Every Wednesday, we open our doors from 18:00 to 21:00.
De Toekomstwinkel is more than a program: it’s a learning environment and network in one. Through workshops, deep dives, and community conversations, all built around a shared dinner, it becomes a place of mutual inspiration.
We currently offer two types of memberships:
Explore: Access to sessions where you gain foundational knowledge from professionals and meet a community of like-minded peers.
Elevate: Access to the full program including personal guidance from an expert who helps participants develop a tailored financial plan.
In 2022, we developed a pilot program on home ownership for first-time buyers. It was so well received that it evolved into ‘WonenEnZo’, now a permanent part of Masterplan Zuidoost. Since then, we’ve continued building programs that contribute to long-term financial resilience among youth.
Since early 2024, De Toekomstwinkel has already provided over 1,000 young adults with financial knowledge and tools across various events and sessions.
